MRS. YVONNE S. McKIBBEN Mrs. Yvonne Staples McKibben, 62, of Hogansville, died Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. McKibben was born September 2, 1952, in Hogansville, where she lived most of her life, and was a member of Grace Covenant Worship Center. A 1970 graduate of Hogansville High School, she completed a number of banking courses at Kennesaw State University and the American Institute of Banking. She began her employment at The Citizens Bank of Hogansville in 1976 and was serving as executive vice-president, chief operating officer, and a member of the board of directors at the time of the bank's merger with Flag Financial Corp. Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Gregor of Englewood, CO; grandchildren, Emory Ogletree III of Hogansville, Aaron Gregor and Amberleigh Gregor, both of Englewood; her mother, Bobbie Tucker Mason of Hogansville; sister and brother in-law, Rhonda and Donald Broach of Grantville; and her former husband and best friend, Claude McKibben, Jr. She was preceded in death by her father, William Duane Staples, and son, Corey Allen McKibben. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor Alex Montgomery and the Reverend Harry Cain will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 and from 6 until 8 Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes, Pineland Campus, P. O. Box 2907, LaGrange, GA 30241. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 2 until 4 and from 6 until 8 Sunday, September 7, at Claude A.
