Willis Hoyt Glaze

Mr. Willis Hoyt Glaze, 94, of Greenville and formerly of Darien, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015, at Hospice LaGrange. Mr. Glaze was born April 17, 1921, in White County, son of the late Ernest and Lucy Glaze. Before making his home in Greenville in 2010 to be near his daughter, he was a longtime resident of Darien, was a retired farmer and was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Nancy and Allen Wigley of Greenville; son and daughter in-law, Eugene and Terri Glaze of Kennesaw; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary H. Glaze; and his daughter, Shelia Henderson. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 3, at Greenville Baptist Church, with the Reverend Jonathan Porter officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
