MR. WILLIE A. PYE Mr. Willie A. Pye, 80, of Newnan, died Saturday, September 10, 2011, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 12, at the graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, with Dr. Bobby Helton and the Reverend Jimmy Lee officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday night. Mr. Pye was born March 1, 1931, in Grantville, son of the late Olin Pye and the late Leslie Harry Pye Pope. A veteran of service in the U. S. Navy, he was a lifelong resident of Coweta County, was a member of First United Methodist Church of Grantville, and retired from William L. Bonnell and Company. Survivors include his wife, Jewell Plant Pye of Newnan; son and daughter in-law, Jimmy and Nancy Pye of Hogansville; granddaughter, Leslie and Dan Grabensteder of Hogansville; and a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Danielle Grabensteder.
