Mr. Lamar Williamson, 47, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Williamson was born December 5, 1968, in LaGrange and was a lifelong resident of Hogansville. He was a graduate of Hogansville High School, was a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, and was the manager of Williamson Auto Parts in Hogansville. He enjoyed fishing and being with his family, and was a member of The Pentecostal Church of LaGrange.
Survivors include his wife, Sabrina Williamson; his sons, Will Williamson, Hunter Williamson and Devin Powell; his father, Billy Williamson, all of Hogansville; sister and brother in-law, Carol and Jack Lindley of Oxford, AL; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Hodges Williamson; and his brother, Billy Joe Williamson.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 6, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Dalton Hammock will officiate and interment will be in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery in LaGrange.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 Saturday afternoon.
