William Thomas Prestridge, Sr.

WILLIAM T. PRESTRIDGE, SR. Mr. William T. (Billy) Prestridge, Sr., 76, of LaGrange, died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor Rick Lipp will officiate and interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night. Born January 15, 1936, in LaGrange, Mr. Prestridge was the son of the late Ellis and Pency Tuggle Prestridge. He was Baptist by faith, was a lifelong resident of LaGrange, and was a retired heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved playing bingo. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Prestridge of LaGrange; children, George Ann Richards of Amarillo, TX, William Thomas Prestridge, Jr. of Gainesville, TX, Johnny Franklin Prestridge, Tammy Marie Watson, Charles Allen Watson, Alvin Lee Watson, and Ashley Crozier, all of LaGrange; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ellis Prestridge, Jr. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
