Mr. William D. "Bill" Parrish, 78, of the Louise Community of Troup County, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020, at his home.
Mr. Parrish was born March 5, 1942, in Durham, North Carolina, son of the late Hugh and Ora Belle Woodard Parrish. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army, he retired from Civil Service at Fort Benning, lived in Troup County most of his life, and was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Parrish of Louise; sons, Michael Parrish and his husband Simon Parrish of Atlanta, John Parrish and his fiancée Kendra Parrish of Louise, Jasper Parrish of Phenix City, AL; and former daughter in-law, Kayla Marie Parrish who Mr. Parrish considered as a daughter; grandchildren, MacKenzie Parrish, Kyle Parrish, Wyatt Parrish, Xander Williams, and Faith Jackson.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, at the graveside in Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery, with military honors, The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
