WILLIAM L. SMITH Mr. William Lofley Smith, 51, of Franklin, died Monday, April 20, 2009. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, at Corinth United Methodist Church. The Reverend Sheila Crowe will officiate and interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery. Mr. Smith was born December 2, 1957, in Heard county, son of the late Lofley Lucius (Hop) Smith and the late Margaret Jackson Smith. He lived in Heard county most of his life and had been employed as a maintenance manager for Howard Johnson Corporation. Survivors include his daughter, Brittany Smith; son and daughter in-law, Nathaniel and Rachel Smith, both of LaGrange; sister, Shirley Ott of Franklin; and six grandchildren, Kira Longoria, Laila Longoria, Little Eddie Longoria, Courtney Rachalla, Skylar Smith, and William Smith, Jr. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Thursday night, April 23rd, at Claude A.
