William F. (Bill) Kenyon

September 26, 1932 — August 3, 2016

Mr. Bill Kenyon, 83, of the Corinth Community of Heard County, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Mr. Kenyon was born September 26, 1932, in Sibley, Kansas, son of the late Clifford and Virginia Brown Kenyon. A veteran of service in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, he retired as a certified millwright from Commonwealth Aluminum Company, and had lived in Corinth since 1987. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the NRA; and, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Winnie Kenyon of Corinth; his children, Leanna Nolen of Oregon, Darrell Holbrook and his wife Brenda of Winder, Ricky Holbrook and his wife Kay of Bethlehem, Bradley Kenyon of Idaho, Jeff Holbrook and his wife Debbie of Buford; brother, Irish Kenyon of LaFayette, LA; 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Kenneth Holbrook, Dina Luecke and Guy Kenyon; and brother, Harry (Skip) Kenyon. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 6, at the cryptside in Restlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum in LaGrange, with military honors. Jeff Holbrook will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
