MR. WILLIAM D. HOBBS Mr. William David Hobbs, 63, of Luthersville and formerly of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at his home. Mr. Hobbs was born March 26, 1951, in Stewart County, son of the late Frank and Lois Lee Hobbs, and was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura Faye Jamieson Hobbs; brothers, Marty and Jerry; and sisters, Frankie, Inez, Gloria Ann, and Betty Jean. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Joe Myrtle of Terre Haute; son and daughter-in-law, Davie and Leslie Hobbs of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Ashley, D.J., and Daniel Myrtle, Cody and Conner Hobbs; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Adahsyn, Rayleigh, and Pacey; brothers, Johnny Hobbs of Luthersville and Marcus Hobbs of Dublin; sisters, Essie (Bootsie) Lofton of Luthersville, Jane Henry of Dublin, Lucille Chancler of Lumpkin, and Mary Armour of Griffin; several nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, at the graveside in New Harmony Cemetery in Terra Haute, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of local arrangements.
