William Lewis (Bill) Hartley

MR. WILLIAM L. HARTLEY Mr. William Lewis (Bill) Hartley, 78, of Greenville, died Monday, June 8, 2009, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 11, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Winston Skinner will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery. Born May 6, 1931, in Fulton county, Mr. Hartley was the son of the late Lewis and Etna Pearl Still Hartley. He was a graduate of Newnan High School, attended Auburn University, and retired as a senior design engineer from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Before making his home in Greenville in 1987, he lived in Marietta for over thirty years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Laura Dean Williams Hartley of Greenville; daughters, Etna Elizabeth Hartley of Marietta and Margaret Denise Hartley of Greenville; son, George Lewis Hartley of Atlanta; and a brother, John Delano Hartley of Newnan. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 9 Wednesday night, June 10th, at Claude A.
