MR. MARION HAMMOND
Mr. William Marion Hammond, 70, of Hogansville, died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at West Georgia Medical Center.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Dwayne Perdue, the Reverend Aaron McCollough, and the Reverend Jeff Rudbeck will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive freinds at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night.
Born September 15, 1940, in Troup County, Mr. Hammond was the son of the late Bill and Glenn Farrell Hammond. He was a lifelong resident of Hogansville, attended Mountville Baptist Church, and retired as a quality assurance inspector from William L. Bonnell Co. in Newnan after more than 40 years service.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Strickland Hammond; sons, Kim Hammond and Mark Hammond, all of Hogansville; brother, Dale Hammond of Palmetto; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Hammond.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
