William "Travis" Garner, 85, of Georgetown, TX peacefully passed away to be with his Lord on Friday, October 19, 2018, at his home.
Mr. Garner was born May 1, 1933, in Rocky Mount, GA, son of the late Charlie and Minnie Lee Garner, and spent most of his life residing in Georgia. Travis worked for Sinclair Oil Company for 15 years, and then owned and operated a barbershop for 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, tending to his beautiful flowers, and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years JoAnn Garner; son and daughter in-law, Terence and Susan Garner of Sugar Land, TX; daughter and son in-law, Trina and Harrison Mosbey of Georgetown, TX; grandchildren, Savannah Garner, John Garner, Jeremiah Mosbey, Phoebe Mosbey, and Luke Mosbey. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers and five sisters.
The memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend J. W. Wallis will officiate, and interment will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in the Rocky Mount Community.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, and flowers are welcomed by the family.
