William M. Deptula

Mr. William M. (Bill) Deptula, 66, of LaGrange and formerly of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, passed away early morning Saturday, April 2, 2016, at West Georgia Hospice LaGrange. Mr. Deptula was born August 13, 1949 in Trenton, New Jersey, son of the late Alma Deptula and the late Col. Thomas Deptula. A veteran of service in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, he was a graduate of Rutgers University and earned a master's degree from the University of Florida. He was a retired computer programmer and was formerly a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Dawn and Aaron Harris of LaGrange; son, Timothy Deptula of Carrollton; grandchildren, Ava and Gage Harris; sister, Linda Wade of Florida; and brothers, Ron Deptula of Pennsylvania; Ken Deptula of Arizona, and Tommy Deptula of California. The family will hold a private memorial service Saturday, April 9. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to West Georgia Hospice in Mr. Deptula's name. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
