Mr. Harwell Collier, 88, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Piedmont Columbus Midtown Medical Center.
Mr. Collier was born July 11, 1932, in Hogansville, son of the late O. K. and Lettie Daniel Collier. A lifelong resident of Hogansville, he retired as a supervisor from Uniroyal, Inc. and was a member of Bible Baptist Church, where he enjoyed playing the guitar. He enjoyed traveling with his late wife, Mary Ann Collier, and loved music, woodworking, and treasure hunting with his metal detector.
Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Diann and Lawrence Williams of Valley, AL; four grandchildren, Shelia and Johnny Matthews, Lynn and Rodney O'Dell, Heather and Robbie Clark, Chase Williams; great-grandchildren, Connor Matthews, Chloe Matthews, Kaitlyn Casey, Jacob Floyd, Emily O'Dell, Nathan O'Dell, Jett Clark, Jolee Clark; great-great-grandchildren, Lilli Floyd, Liam Floyd, Cayde Casey, Jeremiah Casey; sister, Norma Landrum; and brother, Quillian Collier. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Olivia Faith O'Dell; and his brother, Roger Collier.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, with the Reverend Eddie Perry officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night.
