MR. FRANK CATO Mr. Frank Cato, 74, of the Lone Oak Community of Meriwether County, died Monday, October 7, 2013, at West Georgia Medical Center. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, at the graveside in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in the St. Marks Community of Meriwether County, with the Reverend Searcy Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night. Born May 11, 1939, in Meriwether County, Mr. Cato was the son of the late William Frank Cato and Ruby Lucille Dollar Cato. He lived in Meriwether County most of his life, was Baptist by faith, and was a member of Sylvan Masonic Lodge #429 in Sargent. He was employed by William L. Bonnell Company and Franklin Aluminum for several years before starting Cato Contracting, which he operated for forty years. Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Jan and Randall Webb of LaGrange; daughter in-law, Patricia Cato of Hogansville; grandchildren, Wil Cato of Hogansville, Courtney Webb and Maegan Webb of LaGrange; sisters, Pauline and Richard Childs of Woodbury, Miriam and Phillip DeLoach of Sharpsburg; brother, Roger Cato and Sharon Cuddington of Manchester; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Wheelus Cato, and son, Chuck Cato. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Tuesday night, October 8th, at Claude A.
