William Thomas Calhoun, Sr.

MR. THOMAS CALHOUN Mr. William Thomas Calhoun, Sr., 73, of Luthersville, died Friday, May 23, 2014, at his home. Mr. Calhoun was born May 19, 1941, in Coweta County, son of the late James Thomas (Pete) Calhoun, Jr. and Flossie Beckom Calhoun. He lived at Luthersville for many years and retired from Douglas & Lomason Co. after forty years of service. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed reading. Survivors include his wife, Patty Calhoun of Luthersville; daughters, Sherri Cruz and her husband, Manuel of Oakland, CA, Amanda Elaine Pate and her husband, Tinkie of Greenville; son, William Thomas Calhoun, Jr. of Moreland; sister, Linda Summers of Franklin; brother, Norman Calhoun of Moreland; grandchildren, Shelly Calhoun and Austin Moncus; and great-grandchildren, Layla Calhoun and James Calhoun. The memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Benny Ray Coker officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 7 Monday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
