William Lee (Bill) Caldwell

Mr. William Lee (Bill) Caldwell, 70, of the Rocky Mount Community, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Mr. Caldwell was born February 23, 1947, in Meriwether County, son of the late Ben and Jane Woodruff Caldwell. A lifelong resident of Meriwether County, he had attended Meriwether County Schools and had been employed by Merico. He was a faithful member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church and dearly loved his nieces and nephews. Survivors include his sisters and brothers in-law, Sarah Braswell, Mollie and Phillip McDonald, Diane and Eddie Cochran, all of Rocky Mount, Linda and Tony Braswell of Starr, SC; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 16, at Rocky Mount Baptist Church. The Reverend Wayne Settle will officiate and interment will be in the Caldwell Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
