Wendell Lee Helton

Mr. Wendell Lee Helton, 59, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Helton was born April 23, 1965, in Newnan, son of the late Guy and Cookie Whisenhunt Helton. A resident of Hogansville most of his life, he was employed by Kaydon Corporation in LaGrange for 25 years. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved being with his family and his dog "Peanut".

Survivors include his sister, Cindy Wright of Hogansville; brother and sister in-law, Hal and Kay Helton of Grantville; nieces and nephews, Nickie Crawford (Josh), Bubba Barrett (Angela), Chasitie Helton, Wendi Zell (Ben), Britany Helton (Jonathan Compton), Hunter Helton (Ivy); and a number of great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emory Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta.
