Wendell Caldwell

MR. WENDELL CALDWELL Mr. Wendell Caldwell, 79, of LaGrange, went to Heaven, on Sunday, January 9, 2011. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 12, at the graveside in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, with Mr. Greg Maddox officiating. Born May 16, 1931, in Carroll County, Mr. Caldwell was the son of the late George and Willie Muse Caldwell. He lived in LaGrange for 70 years and was the retired owner of Power Plating, Inc. An ordained Baptist minister, he was a member of East LaGrange Baptist Church, Elm City Masonic Lodge, and the LaGrange Shrine Club. Survivors include his daughters, Emily Stevens of LaGrange, who he affectionately called Scooty, and Linda Marcus of Mobile, AL; sisters, Rudiene Lambert of Christian City and Jean Grant of LaGrange; grandchildren, Angela White (Renbuddy) and Brian Shirey (G-Bird), both of LaGrange; great-grandchildren, Brittany Shirey, Devin Marcus, Brianna Shirey, Blake Shirey, and Tyler Shirey; and a special friend, Lilla Mae Truitt.
