Wayne Gay

MR. WAYNE GAY Mr. Wayne Gay, 68, of Greenville, died Monday, February 20, 2012, at his home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, at Stovall Baptist Church. The Reverend Randall Foxworth will officiate and interment will be in the Pine Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Mr. Gay was born December 8, 1943, in Troup County, son of the late David Mose Gay and the late Hattie Mae Freeman Gay. A resident of Meriwether County for forty years, he was Baptist by faith and was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed boating and was an avid fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gay of Greenville; son, Wayne Gay, also of Greenville; grandsons, Anthony Wayne Gay and Dalton Blake Haney; sister, Carolyn Railey of LaGrange; and brother, Derl Gay, also of LaGrange.
