Wayne L. Crouch

Mr. Wayne L. Crouch, 78, of Moreland, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, at his home.

Mr. Crouch was born November 23, 1946, in Columbus, son of the late James Albert Crouch, Sr. and Billie  Crouch. A veteran of service in the Vietnam War, he trained as an Army Ranger then transferred to the U.S. Navy, where he trained as a Navy Seal. He lived in Coweta County most of his life and retired as an area manager after serving 33 years with BellSouth and AT&T.

In the early years of his marriage, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Columbus and Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist in Lone Oak and in later years he was a member of First Baptist Church of Moreland and Bexton Road Baptist Church and was a member of Callaway Baptist Church in LaGrange at the time of his death. Mr. Crouch had served as a Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 48 in Moreland, was a member of the Order of the Arrow, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. He was a talented artist, enjoyed painting, and loved to cook for the Scouts and for church gatherings.

Survivors include his wife, Winnett Crouch of Moreland; sons and daughters in-law, Benjamin and Jennifer Crouch of McPherson, KS, Matthew and Toni Crouch of Newnan; and grandchildren, Benjamin Crouch II and his wife Brittany of Hutchinson , KS and Jessica Crouch of Bradenton, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jennifer Winnett Crouch.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, April 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Preacher Chris Smith will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., Sunday, prior to the service.
