Waymond Lee Hines

Mr. Waymond Lee Hines, 68, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.

Mr. Hines was born February 16, 1957, in Newnan, son of the late Waymond Johnny Hines and Nina Mae Vaughn Hines. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army Reserves, he was a retired over-the-road truck driver and was Baptist by faith. He had lived in Franklin for a number of years, where he had volunteered at the food bank and had played Santa Claus during the Christmas seasons.

Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Hines and his grandson, Harley Elijah Jackson Hines, both of Franklin; his sisters, Becky Wolfe and her husband Don Wolfe of Gainesville, TX, and Shirley Smith of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Williams Hines; his lon-time companion, Robin Haas Garrison; sister, Sara Marlene Hawk; and brother in-law, Calvin Smith.

A memorial service is not being planned at this time.
