MS. WANDA A. STENGER
Ms. Wanda A. Stenger, 72, of LaGrange, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at her home.
Ms. Stenger was born June 26, 1942, in Flint, Michigan, daughter of the late Edward and Angeline Halisiznski Karbowski. A resident of LaGrange since 1960, Ms. Stenger was a member of Gods Open Door Church of Praise, and had worked as a painter and as a caregiver in the personal care community.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Donna Taylor, Gene and Karen Kirklin, Lisa and Jerry Cantrell, Cathy Kirklin, Sandy and Chris Adkins, Sherrill and Allen Henderson, Heather Beal, and Susan Vaughn; sisters and brothers and their spouses, Elizabeth Williams, Nancy and John Gray, Veronica and Frank Roseberourgh, Pat and Al Marriam, Richard and Janie Karbowski, Ester Moss, and Frances Kirklin; 32 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Wanda had the privilege of sharing this wonderful family with Ann and James Rountree. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two husbands, two sons, and three brothers.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 19, at God's Open Door Church of Praise in LaGrange. The Reverend Leonard Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday evening.
