MRS. WANDA G. SPIVEY

Mrs. Wanda G. Spivey, age 80 of Hogansville, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, at her home.

Born December 29, 1945 in Elmore County, Al, Mrs. Spivey was the daughter of the late James Edward Glasscock and Sarah Swindle Glasscock. She was a resident of Heard County for over 35 years and enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Spivey loved traveling to the Blue Ridge and Smokey Mountains and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Sheena (Sammy) Beckom of Hogansville; sons, George (Sandra) Spivey, Jr. of Scottsboro, AL, and Bobby Spivey of Hogansville; sister, Eleanor (Buck) Bourne of Louisiana; brothers, Danny (Roberta) Glasscock of Elmore County, AL, Paul (Denise) Glasscock of Wetumpka, AL, and Tommy (Margaret) Glasscock of Dadeville, AL; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spivey was preceded in death by her husband, George Spivey, Sr.; and her brothers, G. W. Glasscock, Alfred Glasscock, and Charles Glasscock.

In keeping with Mrs. Spivey's wishes, no services are planned at this time.
