Ms. Wanda Ann Caldwell, 68, of Woodbury, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021, at her home.
Ms. Caldwell was born July 22, 1953, in the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County and was a lifelong resident of Meriwether County. A member of Bethel Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, she was employed as a personal caregiver prior to her retirement. She never met a stranger and enjoyed reading, flower gardening, solving puzzles, and collecting lighthouses, but she especially loved her family and enjoyed caring for those that she loved.
She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Don Hamm, and her mother, Inez Shelton Caldwell, and survivors include her daughter, Amanda Gaddy; father, Claude Caldwell; brothers, Larry Caldwell and his wife Fonda, Terry Caldwell, Ricky Caldwell, and Jody Caldwell; and two grandchildren, Ryan Gaddy and Cherokee Gaddy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Inez Shelton Caldwell.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, at Bethel Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, with Reverend Kenny Heinzel and Pastor T J Boyd officiating. Private interment for the family will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
