Walter Dan Richardson

Mr. Walter Dan Richardson, 80, of LaGrange, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at his home.

Mr. Richardson was born March 11, 1943, in Meriwether County, son of the late Charlie William Richardson and Leila Brown Richardson. A resident of Troup County most of his life, he retired from the Dunson Division of West Point Stevens. He enjoyed telling jokes, kidding around, and watching old westerns, especially Gunsmoke. He knew a lot about everything, loved his family dearly, and really enjoyed being with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Richardson of LaGrange; daughter, Angela M. Clark; son, Danny Ray Richardson (Tammy), all of LaGrange; grandchildren, Ashley Danielle Ruggles (Tom) of Chadwick, MO, Daniel Ray Richardson (Katelin), Joseph Clark, Jessica East (Josh), Cody Patrick (Halley), Allison Danielle Richardson, all of LaGrange; and great-grandchildren, T J, Gavin, Lilli, Ryder, Ryleigh, Maddox, Taryn, and Holland. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Kalel Ruggles; two sisters; and seven brothers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday and a service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Trace Lasher will officiate.
