W. T. Harper

Mr. W. T. Harper, age 89, of Griffin, passed away Monday, June 22, 2026.

Born October 1, 1936, in LaGrange, Mr. Harper lived in College Park for most of his life, and owned and operated College Park Industrial Welding. He enjoyed his business and was still working until just six months ago.

Survivors include his daughter, Lynn Parrish; son Arthur Terrell “Terry” Harper; and grandson, Kenneth Harley Shockley, all of Griffin. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Willis Terrell Harper and Eunice Garrett Harper; sisters, Kathleen Costley and Christine Upchurch; and brothers, Lawrence Harper and Willie Earl Harper.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Benjamin Dizoglio will officiate and interment will be in Hillview East Cemetery in LaGrange.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday.
