W. Richard Mcrae

MR. RICHARD McRAE Mr. Richard McRae, 80, of Hogansville, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011, of injuries received in an auto accident near Hogansville. Mr. McRae was born September 8, 1931, in Warm Springs, son of the late Edgar and Thelma McRae. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U. S. Navy, was a longtime employee of Eastern Airlines, and had lived in Hogansville for thirty years. At the time of his death, he was employed at Food Depot in LaGrange. Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Sharon and Peter Bissett of LaGrange; grandson, Leslie Keith Bishop of LaGrange; and great-grandchildren, Dawson J. Bishop and Leslie Kayden Bishop; He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Pike McRae. It was the request of Mr. McRae that his body be cremated and that no memorial service be held. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
