Virginia M. Kirkland

Mrs. Virginia M. Kirkland, 63, of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange. Mrs. Kirkland was born October 21, 1958, in Huntington, West Virginia, daughter of the late John Mitchell and Germaine Osborn Mitchell. A resident of Georgia since 1998, she had lived in Hogansville for the past four years and had previously worked as an office assistant for Norfolk-Southern Railroad. Mrs. Kirkland enjoyed collecting beanie babies. Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Rone and Joannie Kirkland of Hogansville; sister, Johnda Mitchell, also of Hogansville; brothers, Jim Mitchell of California, Robert Mitchell of West Virginia; and several grandchildren, including a grandchild soon to arrive and a grandchild who preceded her in death. The family is not planning a memorial service at this time. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
