Virginia Caswell Durante

Mrs. Virginia Caswell Durante, 94, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017, at Twin Fountains Home in LaGrange. Mrs.. Durante was born June 28, 1923, in the Welcome Community of Coweta County, daughter of the late Ambrose Jefferson Caswell and Nettie Sue Kidd Caswell. A resident of Miami, Florida most of her life, she returned to Coweta County in 1995, was a member of Lester Road Christian Church, and was employed at Publix in Newnan for several years. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Nettie Jo and Edward Gargan of Hogansville; son, Charles Durante of Senoia; granddaughter, Virginia Charlotte Gargan of Newnan; and brother, James Charles Caswell of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph James Durante. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Preacher Tony Sullivan will officiate and interment will be in Elim Baptist Church Cemetery in Coweta County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 until 4 Sunday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
