Mrs. Virginia Todd Bowen, 86, of Woodstock and formerly of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the home of her granddaughter in Johns Creek.
Mrs. Bowen was born August 25, 1931, in Hogansville, daughter of the late John Henry Todd and Janie Daniel Todd. A resident of the Atlanta area for the past fifty years, she retired from the accounting department of Grady Memorial Hospital. She was Baptist by faith and her main focus in life was being a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Preceded in death by her husband, William D. Bowen, Mrs. Bowen is survived by her daughters and son in-law, Belinda Zabetakis of Woodstock, Beth and Rick Stewart of Marietta; brother, Harold Todd of Hogansville; and granddaughters, Shannon Cornell and her husband Carsen, Brittany Stewart, Brooke Stewart, Alexis Zabetakis; and great-granddaughter, Savannah Cornell.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Rick Todd will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 until 11 Saturday morning.
