MR. VICTOR B. TITUS, SR.
Mr. Victor B. Titus, Sr., 75, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at West Georgia Medical Center.
A memorial service was conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 30, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jimmy McMillian officiating.
Mr. Titus was born May 14, 1938, in Morrisville, PA, son of the late Joshua and Florence Effie Smith Titus. He retired as Sergeant First Class after serving over 20 years in the U. S. Army, and received a Silver Star, a Bronze Star, a Purple Heart, and other awards for his service in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He had lived in LaGrange since 1977 and also retired from the LaGrange Post Office after 25 years of service.
Survivors include his daughter, Jo T. Smith of LaGrange and her children, Titus Smith and Kathryn Smith; his sons, Vic Titus, his wife Pam of Hogansville and their son, Garrett Titus; and Larry Titus of Fortson and his children, Kyle Titus, Hillary Titus, Hailey Titus and Peyton Titus; sister, Pat Gerhard of Wildwood, NJ; and brother, Stephen Titus of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hethcox Titus; and his, sister, Gail Anderson.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
