Vickie O'Neal Searels

Mrs. Vickie O'Neal Searels, 65, of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Mrs. Searels was born March 14, 1953, in Newnan, daughter of the late Robert (Bob) O'Neal and Frances Phillips O'Neal Daniel. A lifelong resident of Hogansville, she was a 1971 graduate of Hogansville High School, and was employed by Carter's prior to her retirement. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, where she served as church treasurer and pianist. Survivors include her husband, Danny J. Searels of Hogansville; sons and daughters in-law, Matt Searels of LaGrange, Cory and Kristi Searels of LaGrange, and Cary and Donna Searels of Pine Mountain; sisters, Barbara Johnson of Albany and Jennifer Seymour of Hogansville; grandchildren, Shawn Searels, Chase Searels, Neal Searels, Austin Searels and Wyatt Searels; two great-grandchildren and another soon to arrive. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, at Springhill Baptist Church. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
