Vicki Chapman Bedingfield

VICKI CHAPMAN BEDINGFIELD

Vicki Chapman Bedingfield, age 49, of McDonough Georgia passed away on April 15, 2025. Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Larry Chapman; sister, Susan and husband Griff Jackson; and brother in-law, Randy O'Neal.

Vicki was born in Athens on June 11, 1975, and later moved to Riverdale as a young child. She attended the First Baptist Church-Riverdale where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior! She graduated from Riverdale High school in 1993. She met her husband in 1995 and was married in 1998. She is survived by her husband, James Nesbit Bedingfield of McDonough; daughter Lillie Mae Bedingfield of McDonough; son, James Elijah Bedingfield (Lacey Yarbrough); grandson, Jackson Yarbrough, all of Griffin.

Vicki was also survived by her mother, Sarah Chapman of Loganville; sister, Nancy O'Neal of Loganville; three brother in-laws and three sister in-laws, Chris Bedingfield (Lynette) of Albany, Charles Bedingfield of Dexter, Jon Pierce of Jonesboro, Robin Eschman of Griffin, and Janie McVay of Jacksonville, Fl; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Vicki enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandson. She was a great cook and really enjoyed baking with her daughter, especially during the holidays. Her favorite hobbies were playing on the beach, fishing in a creek, Lake Lanier or the Chattahoochee River from Helen to Fairburn Ga, or playing at a water park with her family and grandson at High Falls State Park. She also enjoyed big family reunions and gatherings. Last but not least, she was a Georgia Bulldogs fan from her couch to in person with her mom and others in Athens Ga.

A memorial service for Vicki will be held Saturday, May 3rd, at 2:00 p.m. at Campbellton Baptist Church, 8660 Campbellton-Fairburn Rd Fairburn Ga 30213, with the Reverend Terry Rainwater officiating.
