Vestal Wortham Thomas

Mr. Vestal W. Thomas, 79, of LaGrange, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Sacred Journey Hospice in Newnan.

Mr. Thomas was born October 29, 1943, in LaGrange, son of the late Horace Wortham Thomas and Pauline Denham Thomas Butler. A resident of Las Vegas, Nv for a number of years, he retired from the Retail Clerks and Laborers Union also worked for Northern Pipeline in Las Vegas, and served six years in the Nevada National Guard. He returned to LaGrange in 1990, retired from the City of LaGrange Gas Department, and was a member of Callaway Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Thomas of LaGrange; daughter, Lorrie Ann Thomas of Marietta; step-daughter, Renee King, and step-son, Cliff King, both of Pine Mountain; sister, LeeAnn Woody and her husband Timothy Woody of Villa Rica; brother, Horace Thomas, Jr. and his wife Deborah Thomas of LaGrange; grandchildren, Julia Nicole Jacoby of Marietta, Megan Steel of Nashville, TN; and several step-grandchildren.

A memorial service is not being planned at this time.
