Veronica Nowicki Hicks

Mrs. Veronica Nowicki Hicks, 75, of Franklin, passed away, Monday, December 21, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Hicks was born October 20, 1940, in Camden, New Jersey, daughter of the late William and Jane Chew Nowicki. Before making her home in Heard County in 2010, she lived in Luthersville for 37 years and was the wife of the late Joseph Thomas (Tommy) Hicks. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Perry of Pearl, MS; sons and daughter in-law, Joseph Thomas (Tony) Hicks, Jr. of Luthersville, Scott and Valerie Hicks of Franklin; brother and sister in-law, William (Bill) and Marie Nowicki of Jefferson; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son in-law, Mike Perry. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., Wednesday Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
