Valene Ketchum

Mrs. Valene Ketchum, 40, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Mrs. Ketchum was born August 18, 1981, in LaGrange and lived in this area most of her life. A member of Corinth Baptist Church, she enjoyed helping her friends, loved her pets, and enjoyed cooking, drawing, and writing poems. Survivors include her fiancée, Paul Fortner of Hogansville; her children, Kristian Ketchum, Kaylee Ketchum, and Kamryn Ketchum, all of Warr Acres, OK; her mother and daddy, Donna and Darryl Garrison of Hogansville; sisters, Mary James and her husband Jason of Marietta, Kellie Garrison of Geraldine, AL; brother, Jeremy Garrison and his wife Kelly of Hogansville; and aunts, Debbie Hammett and Diana Meeks. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jeanette Clay Bryant, Howard "Bo" Gaddy, Floyd Shaw, Bobby Smith, and Vaynell Smith. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 20, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Milton Hall and the Reverend Lynn Janney will officiate and interment will be in New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Woodbury. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
