Tonya Michelle James

Mrs. Tonya Michelle James, 47, of Luthersville, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Mrs. James was born June 17, 1974, in Newnan and lived in Meriwether County most of her life. She earned an Associate degree in early childhood education and worked many years for the Meriwether Headstart Program. She loved being with and caring for her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Paul James of Luthersville; daughters, April Michelle James of Luthersville, Tiffany Dawn Washington and her husband Casey of Manchester; son, Cody Paul Francis and his wife Tam of Columbus; her parents, Bruce and Sherry O'Neal of Senoia; sister, Sherry Renee Carroll and her husband David Paul of Newnan; and her grandchildren, Jayden, Nevaeh, Jadah, Asher, Preston, Levigh, Caleb, Carson, and Cody, Jr. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, at the graveside in the Luthersville Cemetery, with the Reverend Winston Skinner officiating.
