Tony Lee Scott

MR. TONY L. SCOTT Mr. Tony L. Scott, 48, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014, at his home. Born December 27, 1965, in Fulton County, Mr. Scott served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard and was a member of VFW Post 4629 in LaGrange. He lived at Stovall before making his home in Heard County in 2008, was Baptist by faith, and was employed as a maintenance technician at Wal-Mart.com in Carrollton. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Chapman Scott of Franklin; daughter, Jessica Davidson of Manchester; step-daughter, Paula and Nathan Lee of LaGrange; step-sons, Brian and Deigh Martin, Bradley and Jennifer Martin, all of Winder; his mother and step-father, Vassie and J. W. Roberts of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, Jeff and Annessa Scott of Carrollton; step-brother, Jamie and Cindy Roberts of LaGrange; step-sisters, Debbie and Audy Beverley and Kim Spradlin, all of LaGrange; and six step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Eugene Scott. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September14, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with military honors. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday night.
