Tony Monroe Hudgins

Mr. Tony M. Hudgins, 68, of Gay, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at his home. Mr. Hudgins was born October 11, 1953, in Gainesville, son of the late Carl Monroe Hudgins and Charlotte Duron Hudgins. Baptist by faith, he was a retired truck driver and loved to travel with his late wife, who was his driving partner. He also enjoyed watching football, hunting, gardening, and walking with his dog. Survivors include his daughters, Stephanie Hudgins and her fiancée Shawn Abraham of Gay, Andrea Arroyo and her fiancée Timothy of Minneapolis, MN; son, Jeffery Davis of Decatur; a step-daughter, Debra Downey of Gay; and sisters, Cynthia Copeland, Darleen Applegate, Barbara Thompson; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jerry Ann Hudgins. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 11, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Steven Calhoun officiating. Private interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.
