Mr. Tommy Edward Pyles, 80, of Woodbury, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Northside Hospital.
Born on March 21, 1946, in Pike County Alabama, Mr. Pyles was the son of the late Charles Edward and Louise Vance Pyles. He was a resident of Meriwether County for 35 years and was a truck driver for Wiley Sanders Truck Lines in Troy, AL for many years. Mr. Pyles loved being on the road and had driven a truck all over the country. Being the oldest of four siblings, he was loved and spoiled by his maternal grandparents. He will be dearly missed by his family.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria Hammond Pyles of Woodbury; daughters, Lynda Pyles Brooks (Steve) of Luverne, AL, Cathy Pyles of Troy, AL, and Emily Pyles Dupuis (Kyle) of Macon; son, Matthew Edward Pyles (Denevia) of LaGrange, who lost his battle with ALS one day after his father's passing; eleven grandchildren with one on the way; 17 great grandchildren with another on the way; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pyles was preceded in death by his son, Mark Curtis Pyles; brothers, Tim Pyles and Tony Pyles; and a sister, Carolyn Pyles Senn.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Bailey Brunson will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 until 2 Saturday afternoon.
