Timothy Lyle (Tim) Paxton

Timothy Lyle (Tim) Paxton, age 67, passed away on August 31st, 2025, at his home in LaGrange, Georgia.

Tim was born on March 19th, 1958, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to James R. Paxton and Joyce Stubblefield Paxton. He graduated from McClellan High School in Little Rock in the top 10% of his class. For the next ten years, he served his country in the United States Navy, where he got his training for his life's work as a Field Service Engineer specializing in radiation therapy. He worked for several years for CARTI in Little Rock until he moved to LaGrange, Georgia, where he made his home for the past 23 years.

Tim was a kind, giving, and loving person with a big heart. If you knew him, you probably loved him. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his father and adopted daughter, Crystal Williams of LaGrange, and he is survived by his wife, Jennifer Keesee Paxton; his children, Tina Marrall of Bauxite, AR, Zachary Paxton of Denver, CO, Mindy Childress of Bauxite, Ashley Ellis of Bauxite, and Michael Page of LaGrange; his mother, Joyce Paxton of Sheridan, AR; sister, Becky Skarda; brothers, Joey Paxton of Charleston, SC, Ray Paxton of Arkdelphia, AR; and his 14 grandchildren.

This is an unimaginable loss, and this world will not be the same without him.

A memorial service will be held at Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan on September 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m..

A memorial service in LaGrange is being planned at a later date.
