MR. TIM HANSON Mr. Tim Hanson, 54, of Starkville, MS, died Monday, January 23, 2012, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Frank Abrahamsen and the Reverend Wesley Boatman will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 Wednesday night. Born January 10, 1958, in Newnan, Mr. Hanson was Baptist by faith, was a 1976 graduate of Hogansville High School and had attended East Mississippi Community College. He had lived in Starkville since 2010 and was employed as a quality engineer for PACCAR Engines in Columbus, MS. Survivors include his wife, Pam Phelps Hanson of Starkville; daughters, Amanda Hanson Holloway and Heather Miller Rutledge, both of LaGrange; sons and daughters in-law, Matt and Sarah Hanson of LaGrange, Jonathon and Kim Hall of Saltillo, MS; sister, Debra Breed Bennett and her husband, Jeff Bennett, of Five Points, AL; brother and sister in-law, Tony and Vonnie Hanson of Hogansville; grandchildren, Alex Holloway, Sydney Holloway, Lilli Hanson, Shelby Hanson, Haley Rutledge, and Zoe Rutledge; his mother in-law, Jane Phelps of Guntown, MS; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Charles Hanson and Shelby Hubbard Hanson; and his father in-law, Wayne Phelps. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
