Mr. Thomas B. Taylor, Jr., 82, of Jasper, AL, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025, at his home.
Mr. Taylor was born on December 31, 1942, in Helena, Arkansas, son of the late Thomas Beauregard Taylor and Jewell Mothershed Taylor. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he lived in LaGrange before making his home in Jasper in 2008. He was a retired carpentry contractor and was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Jean and Wendal Frye of Jasper, AL; sons and daughter in-law, Bobby and Nina Taylor, and Jason Kulbeth, all of Jasper; step-sons, Nathan Bearden and Anthony Bearden, both of Arkansas; grandchildren, Chad Frye (Nevada), Kyle Frye (Chelsy), Zac Frye, Bryant Kulbeth, Jena Brown, Dacey West (Jarrod), Brinley Campbell (Logan), Ambrey Taylor, Wilden Taylor; great-grandchildren, Anna Burton (Judson), Taylor Burton, Connor Campbell, Charlie Frye, Ridge Frye, Rylee Frye, Maren West, Rollins Campbell; and his sister, Brenda Taylor of Roanoke, VA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelia Hunt Taylor, and his son, Billy Taylor.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 5, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Friday, prior to the service.
