Thomas Mccann

Mr. Thomas McCann, 82, of LaGrange, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. McCann was born July 1, 1941, in Coweta County, son of the late Ferrell Thomas McCann and Annie Calhoun McCann. He was a lifelong resident of the West Georgia area and graduated from Greenville High School. Mr. McCann loved hunting and fishing, and coached softball for over 40 years.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty Jo McCann; son, Thomas McCann (Deborah), Terry McCann (Lisa), Timmy McCann, and Tony McCann (Ashley), all of LaGrange; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie McCann.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 30, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday.
