Thomas Richard Adams

Mr. Thomas Richard Adams, 74, of LaGrange and formerly of the Lone Oak Community of Meriwether County, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, at his home.

Mr. Adams was born October 7, 1951, in Illinois, son of the late Richard Eberle Adams and Claire Pietrzak Adams. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1990 after 20 years of service and then worked as a maintenance supervisor at various industrial locations. He was a member of American Legion Post # 186 in Greenville and attended Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Lone Oak. He loved music, enjoyed singing, and played a number of musical instruments, including guitar, piano, and harmonica.

Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Adams and her husband; grandchildren; his fiancée, Linda Funes of LaGrange and her children Ricky Funes and Trina Hedquist; brothers, Craig Adams of Lone Oak and Jeffery Adams of Calumet City, IL; and step-children, Robbie Whitlock of Powder Springs and Rachel Mann of Newnan.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with full military honors.
