Thelma Lackey Mckeehan

Mrs. Thelma L. McKeehan, 86, of Grantville, passed away, Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. McKeehan was born April 27, 1935, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Mack and Eunice Bell Lackey. A resident of Grantville since 1967, she was Baptist by faith and was a longtime employee of West Point Pepperell in Grantville. She was a talented seamstress and loved to sew. Survivors include her sons, James A. McKeehan of Grantville, John E. McKeehan, Jr. of Hogansville; daughter, Beatrice Whitacre of Republic, MO; brother, Douglas Lackey of LaGrange; nine grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor Greg Morris will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
