Terry Wood

Mr. Terry Wood, age 64 of Newnan, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at his home.

Terry was born November 17, 1961, in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and loved serving his church and community. Known as a big ol "Bear", Terry loved his grandchildren, was a former foster parent, and was a Boy Scout Leader having completed wood badge. He enjoyed baking and selling his baked goods as Bear's Heavenly Treats and traveling with his late wife to Helen, Georgia.

Survivors include his son, Andrew Wood and his wife Maranda; grandchildren, Michael Wood, Halie Wood, and Lucas Wood, all of Newnan; bonus grandchildren, Lillie Tyree and Issac Taft of Hogansville, Addy Marshall of Sharpsburg; his mother, Delphine Walters; sister, Darlene Johnson, both of Sanford, NC; brother, John Wood and his wife Anita Wood of Franklin; sisters in-law, Suki Wood of Columbus and Marsha Carol Veal and her husband Ricky Veal of LaGrange; numerous nieces and nephews; and the Hamby Family. Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Ivey Wood; father, Gerald Wood, Sr.; and brother, Jerry Wood.

The family will host a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, at New Hope Baptist Church on Corinth Road.
