Terry Earl Norton, Sr.

MR. TERRY E. NORTON, SR. Mr. Terry E. Norton, Sr., 60, of Hogansville, died Sunday, April 24, 2011, at his home. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Don North officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home before and after the service. Mr. Norton was born January 16, 1951, in LaGrange, son of the late Ernest Elmer Norton and the late Mae Dunevan Norton. A lifelong resident of Hogansville, he was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed fishing and reading. Survivors include his sons, Terry Norton, Jr. of Hogansville, Michael Norton of Dadeville, AL, Thomas Norton of Manchester; sisters, Hazel Norton of Hogansville, Bonnie Sue Standard of Woodbury, Annie Mae Dimzoff of Chicago; brothers, Ernest E. Norton, Jr. of Franklin, Jerry Norton of Florida; and grandchildren, James Norton, Gabriel Norton, Christian Shane Neville; He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachel Ann Norton. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
