Tavie Johnson Nunis

MRS. TAVIE NUNIS Mrs. Tavie Johnson Nunis, 84, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. Nunis was born March 22, 1931, in Roopville, daughter of the late William Lee Johnson and Ada Maude Quigley Johnson. A resident of LaGrange most of her life, she was a member of, and served as pianist for the Grantville Church of God. Survivors include her husband, Reverend Johnie C. Nunis of LaGrange; daughters and son in-law, Elaine and Marcus Guess of Stevenson, AL, Angie Lanier of Bremen; son, Rodney Nunis of LaGrange; sister, Patsy Wilkes of Nashville, TN; brothers, Doyle Johnson of LaGrange, Garin Johnson of Stevenson, AL; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sandra Gail Hardy. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 31, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jeff Maxwell and the Reverend Doug Hardy will officiate and entombment will be in Shadowlawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
